The CLIFTON Mid Rise Car Scissor Lift is our best loved lift having gone through many refinements over the many years we’ve been selling it, and with some pride. It is interesting to see others taking on some of the innovative features we have introduced whilst developing our favourite Mobile Car Scissor Lift. What we are even more proud to say is that we fully believe that our market leader is just that because, not only does the design bring together all the best features our customers like, but the outright quality of the lift has remained untouched throughout all these developments. It is still an outstanding piece of modern machinery.
The Clifton is a top spec, surface mounted mid-rise platform scissor car lift. The design was the first in the UK to utilise an advanced assisted fulcrum on such a small lift. This excellent piece of geometry offers effortless lifting, and in operation provides ‘two stage lowering’ slowing the descent of the lift before it reaches ground level.
Unlike other similar models, the removable joining bar gives you flat floor access providing any wheeled items of equipment such as oil drainers, transmission jacks etc unimpeded access to the centre of the car.

How does the power supply work?
The power supply for this mobile car scissor lift is 240V single phase. There is a 16A Cee-form male socket supplied with this lift. Requires 16A C or D type motor rated circuit breaker upgrade in your consumer unit.
What are the lift lock stop points?
First lock – 500mm
Second lock – 600mm
Third lock – 690mm
Fourth lock – 770mm
Fifth lock – 830mm

Seventh lock – 940mm

Can the Clifton lift be recessed into a pit?

How do I service my Clifton car lift?
Our Clifton lifts come with an enclosed control box, including an adjustable throttle valve and an easily accessible motor for quick servicing.
Does this lift come with a warranty?
This lift comes with a 12 month component parts warranty. There is no on-site call out warranty implied with this lift. The warranty can be increased to 24 months for an additional £150.
How will my Clifton lift be delivered?
Depending on your premises and unloading facilities, your full rise scissor car lift will be delivered via a tail lift truck. The delivery truck will have a pallet truck so a tarmac or concrete surface to unload onto is needed. If you have a gravel drive they will unload as a kerbside drop, alternatively please contact us for other delivery options.

How do I assemble my Clifton mobile car scissor lift?
It is imperative that you understand that there is a small amount of self-assembly to do once it is received. This includes attaching torsion plate & up ramps, connecting limit switches and filling with oil. This is all possible for a competent home mechanic & helper to do themselves. A lifting aid will be useful too. A good quality manual is supplied to assist in the assembly of the lift.
We are able to offer support over the phone and can also provide a self-installation sign-off visit to confirm you have installed your product correctly.

Building the lift into the floor
Guide on how the Clifton lift can be recessed into a pit.
The conduit shaft diameter size for the hoses and leads we recommend is 100 mm. This allows for the hose and wires to sit inside the entrance of the shaft.

Please note – the pit size is for the platforms only – no up ramps attached.
If all up ramps need to stay on the lift, the pit length would increase to 2150 mm.
Up ramps would be suspended in the air in the pit – consider a support for these.
Central access would be a 110 mm step down into the pit.
